U-17 Womens World Cup Facts The first ever FIFA u-17 Womens World Cup is being held in New Zealand from October 28th to November 16th this year. A total of 32 matches will be played at the four confirmed venues: Aucklands North Harbour, Hamiltons Waikato Stadium, Wellington Stadium and Christchurches QEII Stadium. All FIFA Tournaments are run the same as the main FIFA World Cup - the biggest sporting event in the world - so this is the chance to taste that atmosphere right here in our own backyard. It will be a fantastic spectacle with 16 of the worlds best footballing nations taking part after a qualification process that involved more than 100 countries. The event also provides a chance to showcase New Zealand , with at least 150 countries taking the broadcast rights and over 100 million people expected to watch worldwide. |
